Sir Safar has ventured down to the port to speak with the captains of the ships coming in from the America's. He has obtained documentation concerning matters of housing which King Constantine is believed to follow when he brings in his edict granting housing rights to the common folk of Albion. I document here what Sir Safar has uncovered. These relate to matters not mentioned in official proclamations.

Types of housing

The Cottage
Is the smallest housing type it has one floor and a basement. A porch can be added to house a consignment merchant.

By way of explanation:-

• NPC points are places where certain persons such as healers, smiths, teleporters or merchants may stand. A list of the available NPC's is listed below.
• Vault points can be used to place a Vault Keeper such as Lord Urquart or a Vault Box which can hold up to 80 items and can be made available to house friends.
• All houses have a place where a bind stone can be placed
  
• Tool points are for fixing crafting tools, The Forge, the Lathe, and The Alchemy Table.
• Houses and their gardens can also be decorated. I will not go into the technicality of decorating here other than to say there is general dissatisfaction in the America's on the amount of decorative items that can be placed in a property.

Housing Plots and the Auction of Land

Each house must be placed on a building lot, there will be a number a lots available in each village. Each lot will be sold be reversed auction. Lots will initially go on sale at 95 platinum. If they remain unsold the price will decrease by 1 platinum an hour until they are sold or they reach the minimum value of 1 platinum (the original minimum in the America's) or 300 gold (the current minimum in the America's) depending on what the King decides.

NPC's - Merchants, healers and others.

The following persons can be hired at the village market and stationed in your house. You are limited by the number of persons that can be stationed in the house at one time by the type of housing you possess. Although the owner of the house and his family may by the use of magic's store other NPC's in the vault and swap them with stationed NPC's.

The following items can be placed in the house:

• House and garden decorations and furniture can be sold back at 100% their original value

Note Well

Rents must be paid within 7 days of building a house and each week after that. If you are late with the rent no matter how late and the week is calculated from the time the house was built the house will be immediately demolished by the Academy. Ensure your rent is paid up to date. It is recommended you pay some weeks in advance to ensure no mishaps loose you the house because of your unavoidable absence.
